From 2010–2015, I led the National Theatre’s Studio, managing a significant artistic programme that generated major new work, supported hundreds of makers each year, broadened the NT’s creative partnerships nationally and internationally, and delivered substantial training pathways for Directors, Artists and Stage Managers.
This work was grounded in visionary artistic leadership, groundbreaking creative development, national connectivity and sector leadership — a combination that shaped the Studio’s role as a major engine for new work and talent across the UK theatre ecology.
